Molly's been talking a lot lately. She copies and parrots many things we say but I don't expect her to really understand what she is saying or remember it. But things of great importance...she remembers.
After Leila's birthday.
(Molly goes to the fridge)
Molly: "More milk"
Mom: "You want more milk?"
Molly: "More milk."
Mom: "OK."
(Opens the fridge...and she sees Leila's left over cake)
(Molly points to the cake)
Molly: "Chocolate mousse."
After that vocabulary performance, I couldn't deny her some chocolate mousse cake.
She also makes sure to remember words like "treat" and "cookie".
