Leila Drama

Everything that Leila says and does is dramatic.

Examples...

"Hurt...BAD!  Need ice!"
"Me CRY!" (throw head back and fake cry)
"Eden share....NEVER NEVER NEVER!"
"OH!  Found mama!  LOVE mama!" (give hug)
"See daddy...say SURPRISE!" (surprised face)

A New Baby

Eden and her cousin, McKell, were playing "having babies".

She came upstairs saying,

"Mom!  I had a baby!  I just pushed it out!"

When We Take Naps

(I made a puppet and was talking to Eden with the puppet)

Puppet:  "Hi.  What's your name?"
Eden:  "Eden Finlinson."
Puppet:  "Oh, what are you doing?"
Eden:  "Just playing."
Puppet: "Where's your sister?"
Eden:  "She's taking a nap....cause she was being dramatic."

Nighttime Noises

At library story time, they talked about bedtime.

The librarian posed a question...

"What keeps you up at night?"

Eden's response for all to hear...

"When mommy does the dishes in the night and I'm trying to sleep."

Love You

Leila can be such a stinker sometimes, but other times she melts my heart.

One of her new favorite songs is the primary song, "Mother Dear" and can sing it.

And then she occasionally will come up to me during the day, give me a big hug, and say,

"Love you...MUCH."

Even When You're Pregnant

When Eden talks to me, she will sometimes add a little phrase at the end of her sentence...

"....even when you're pregnant."

The ones I can remember off the top of my head are...
"Mom...I love you so much....even when you're pregnant."

and after she dressed me up all pretty and did my hair she said,

"Dad is going to think you are so pretty.
He'll want to be with your forever!
...Even when you're pregnant."

How sweet...kind of.

Leila's Favorite Number

Leila is really into counting...it usually goes like this...

"1...2...3...4...5...6...(sometimes she forgets 7)...8...9...10...18"

But if you ask her what her favorite number is...

"89!"

Why?  I'm not sure.  But she often says it, especially when looking at the thermostat.
