Jack Johnson

We're riding in the car, listening to Jack Johnson.

Leila:  "That Jack Johnson is a good rock star!"

We Love Our Maintenance Man

One day Eden wanted to ride her bike, but her tire was flat.  The maintenance men in the town homes gladly fill her tires for her.  Eden asked me...

"Mom.  Can we take my bike to get fixed at the high maintenance man?"

I guess he's not just a maintenance man, but a HIGH maintenance man.

Eden's Song

Eden got on top of the kid's table...I mean, "stage" and sang a song.

"It is not easy.  It is very complicated.  And now my cabbage is soggy."

Oh...what a performance.  Encore!  Encore!

Halloween

A hot topic around here is what the kids want to be for Halloween.  Eden has been trying to think of something that comes in three (like the three blind mice or three men in a tub) so she can dress with her, Leila, and Molly.

Dad:  "You guys could just be three of the seven dwarfs.  You could be grumpy, sneezy, and sleepy!"
Eden:  "Yeah, and SNOOPY!"

Yeah, that dwarf never made it in the movie...he got into a LOT of trouble.

If Only You Could See Her Facial Expression...

I always think "I'd write more funny things that Leila says and does on the blog, but it is just never as funny written down as it is in person...cause I love Leila's facial expressions and body language.  I mean, I LOVE them.

The other day she was singing the primary song, "Every Star is Different" and feeling very proud of herself.

She was spinning in circles while singing.

Mid-song...*pause*...

"I'm telling you, I'm getting easy at this song..."

You could tell by the way she looked that she was saying, "I'm goooood."

Growing

Dad: "Eden, what makes you grow?"
Eden: "Food....and birthdays."

Heaven and Earth

Me, Eden, Leila, and Molly were all driving in the car.  It was quiet for a moment and Eden was pondering.

Eden:  "Mom. I think Heaven is right here on the Earth."
Mom:  "Yeah?  Why do you think that?"
Eden:  "I don't know.  I just thought that."

Later on....

Mom:  "Remember how you told me about Heaven being on Earth?
Eden:  "Yeah!  Its like God painted over Heaven to look like the Earth!"
Mom:  "Well, I think you should trust your thoughts and feelings."

Eden created a beautiful picture in my mind.  She is one smart cookie.
